GE and Harbin Electric will end the joint venture the companies started in 2010.

According to GE the two companies broke up the partnership because of fundamental differences in business priorities and strategies. The JV was for two manufacturing plants in China, the Zhenjiang plant and the Shenyang plant. Harbin will now acquire ownership of the Zhenjiang plant with GE taking back full ownership of the Shenyang plant. GE said it would continue to operate in China's wind sector.
