Samsung Heavy Industries has announced that it had delivered the Pacific Orca, the world’s largest wind farm installation vessel (WIV) to SPO (Swire Pacific Offshore), a Singapore-based shipper.

Pacific Orca is 161 metres long, 49 metres wide and 10.4 metres high and it is capable of transporting and installing 12 units of 3.6MW. The vessel allows the installation of wind farms under extreme conditions with the velocity of 20m per second and waves that are 2.5m high.
