AWS Truepower, LLC has released the first installment of India’s Wind Trends Bulletin, a quarterly analytical wind report. The report reviews wind in India for the second quarter.

The analysis is based on AWS Truepower’s long-term simulated wind resource data set and is conducted by a team of expert meteorologists. Highlights from the Wind Trend bulletin include:
  • Nearly all of India experienced below normal wind speeds during April and May.
  • Wind speeds rebounded in June, but were not strong enough to balance the strong negative deviations present during April and May throughout much of southern India.
AWS Truepower’s Wind Trends Bulletin provides wind plant owners, investors and operators with a high level analysis of wind resource performance influenced by climatic fluctuations. The analysis provides wind project stakeholders with a benchmark to compare observed performance and aids in identifying potential issues with plant underperformance.
