SSP Technology A/S has signed two contracts with an Asian wind turbine manufacturer for blade design and production of blade moulds.
Both contracts are made up of two main parts, the first one being a design agreement for design of the blade. The design specification for the blade has been under thorough review and testing in close cooperation with the customer. The second part of the contracts is a production agreement for production of the blade moulds as well as the first prototype blades for testing. Because of the length of the blades and the complexity of the projects, the moulds will, contrary to normal practice, be produced in more than one piece. The moulds as well as the prototype blades will be produced in Denmark and afterwards shipped to the customer. Due to a non disclosure agreement further details can not be revealed.
