SSB Service GmbH has been renamed Availon GmbH as of September 2010.
With this new name, the company based in Rheine, takes into account its growing commitment in the international wind turbine generators (WTG’s) servicing business, consistently expanding at the same time its global strategic position as independent WTG service provider. The renaming denotes a clear separation between SSB Wind Systems as provider of electrical systems for WTGs and SSB Duradrive as manufacturer of specific drive solutions. Availon operates in the USA, Spain and Italy and is presently extending its service portfolio of GE and Vestas WTGs to include other types of turbines, such as Gamesa, and others.
