Siemens Energy has been awarded a follow-up order for 72 of its 2.3MW wind turbines, equipped with 101 meter rotors, for the Comber Wind Limited Partnership Project in Essex County, Ontario.
The purchaser is Brookfield Renewable Power Inc. The 166MW wind power will be completed in September 2011. The scope for the Comber wind energy project includes supply and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a service, maintenance and warranty agreement. Delivery of the wind turbines will begin in May 2011.
