At the website customers can explore and obtain detailed product application, practical benefits and statistical information concerning WindStrand the first application of Owens Corning's new high performance reinforcement product platform, HiPer-tex. According to the company WindStrand is a high performance fiber reinforcement offering up to 10% reduction in blade weight with up to 6% longer blade length that enables wind turbine manufacturers to optimize system design to help deliver a lower cost per kilowatt hour.
