The Taralga Wind Power Project in New South Wales, Australia, has been granted development approval by the State Planning Minister, RES Southern Cross Pty Ltd announced recently.

The project is located on rural grazing land in NSW’s Southern Highlands, around 140 kilometres southwest of Sydney. The project has been under development since 2002 and a development application was submitted in November 2004. The approval is for up to 54 turbines each with 2MW capacity.
