Siemens Power Generation (PG) has secured another success for its new Wind Power division. The division will be executing its first offshore project in the United Kingdom and deploying its new 3.6MW turbine. For this project, Siemens PG has received an order from SeaScape Energy Ltd, jointly owned by Elsam A/S, Denmark, and EDF Energies Nouvelles, France, for the supply of 25 wind turbines for the offshore wind farm in Liverpool Bay on the west coast of England. The order is valued at over € 90 million. The construction phase will start in the spring of 2006 with completion scheduled for the autumn of 2007.
