Nordex AG has obtained orders from the UK. The company will be constructing the Earlsburn wind farm, comprising 15 large turbines from the N80/2500kW series, for its customer Falck Renewables Ltd.
The order includes provision of wind turbines and associated balance of plant including road construction, foundations and cabling, and is worth around € 38 million. In addition, Nordex will be constructing a smaller wind farm in a contract worth around € 6 million for UK utility npower renewables, a subsidiary of German RWE. The Burger Hill wind farm will also use Nordex N80/2500kW turbines.
