Iberdrola has begun commissioning of the Somolinos wind farm, situated in Somolinos (Guadalajara) and with installed capacity of 10.56MW, which was built with an investment of € 11 million.

The facility is equipped with 16 Gamesa G47 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 0.66 MW and will send the electricity generated through the Hijes substation. This wind farm follows the recent commissioning in Guadalajara of the Maranchón wind energy complex, consisting of seven wind farms with an aggregate installed capacity of 208 MW, for an investment of € 188 million. To increase its international presence, Iberdrola has opened new offices in Rennes (France), Birmingham (U.K.), Rome (Italy), Mannheim (Germany) and Warsaw (Poland), adding to those it already had in Greece, Portugal, Mexico and Brazil.
