Garrad Hassan advises Trinergy on € 1.8 billion wind farm sale



Garrad Hassan (GH) advised Trinergy on the sale of their German and Italian wind farms to British-based International Power Plc.

Trinergy is selling their 648MW Wind Portfolio to International Power Plc. This includes their Italian wind farms: 495MW in operation and 67MW under construction; and their German wind farms: 86MW in operation. The sale was agreed for € 1.84 billion (US $2.5 billion) with a cash consideration of € 868 million. Garrad Hassan acted as the?technical?advisor to Trinergy and was closely involved in interaction with all the potential buyers. This transaction was run from Garrad Hassan's Italian office in Imola and the team was headed by Mattia Boccolini with support from GH Deutschland and GH staff in the UK.
