Portuguese power utility Energias de Portugal SA (EdP) has announced that GE Energy will supply EdP with wind turbines for projects with a total generation capacity of 500MW through 2009.
Under an agreement with GE Energy, the U.S. company will supply 80 turbines to EdP's renewable energy unit Neo Energia for new projects in Europe, as well as 201 turbines to EdP's U.S. unit Horizon Wind Energy. EdP didn't disclose the value of the contract.
