DeTect, Inc.has announced that it had received an order from Torsa Renovables S.L. to deliver and support a MERLIN XS2530e Avian Radar System for wind farm projects in Spain.
The MERLIN system will be used to conduct pre-construction bird surveys
for proposed project sites as well as for monitoring of existing wind
farms with avian mortality issues. The contract includes an upgrade
option to add the MERLIN SCADA controller that allows the MERLIN Avian
Radar System to function as an "early warning" system.
