Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica and China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Co. Ltd. have reached an agreement for the development of wind projects in Shandong province, located in the northeast of China, totalling 253MW through the period of 2009-2011.
The wind turbine generators will be Gamesa G5x 850kW, manufactured in
Gamesa’s production facilities in Tianjin. The first project subject to
this agreement is Taipingshan wind farm, with a total capacity of 49.3
MW, which is the first wind farm developed by Gamesa Energía in China
and will start construction in June. It will be equipped with 58 Wind
Turbine Generators of Gamesa G5x. The supply, delivery and installation
will take place during the 4th quarter of 2009.
