The Switch to deliver direct-drive 3MW prototypes to Schuler Group



The Switch signed an agreement for two direct-drive The Switch DriveTM prototypes with Schuler Group of Germany.

The package consists of completely tailored 3MW permanent magnet (PM) generators optimized to work with 2.7MW full-power converters (FPC). The Schuler Group is currently expanding beyond its focus on the automotive industry into the wind market. Schuler Group aims to develop and supply large-scale wind power plants for Germany initially, and then for other Central European and international markets.
