Suzlon Energy Limited has announced it will invest US$ 60 million in stepping up a wind turbine generator manufacturing facility in China.

The Chinese subsidiary Suzlon Energy (Tianjin) Limited will manufacture wind turbine generator and major components, including rotor blades, generators, nacelles and control panels. The Chinese facility is scheduled to commence production in the second quarter of the fiscal year beginning 1 April 2006, said Tulsi Tanti, chairperson and managing director of Suzlon Energy Ltd.
