Suzlon Energy Limited and Hansen Transmissions Int NV have announced that Suzlon Energy has acquired gearbox manufacturer Hansen Transmissions.
Hansen was in the hands of Allianz Capital Partners and Apax Partners Worldwide. The purchase price is € 465 million and involves a 100% share transfer. No further financial information will be disclosed by both parties. Suzlon will continue to develop its activities in the Asian market together with Hansen. It will continue to manage Hansen as an independent business unit.
