Envision Energy has announced the sale of wind turbines for Morocco's first desalination project, which is 100% powered by a 60 MW wind farm.
The wind farm is located in Dakhla, Morocco, and is co-owned by Nareva, a Moroccan energy company, and Engie. Envision's EN171-5MW turbines will be utilised for the project. The energy generated by the wind farm will be used to power a large desalination project developed by the Moroccan government.
