The Front Cover

Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is a German research institute that has been engaged in exploring the possibility of using infrared hermography (IRT) for the inspection of wind turbine blades (WTBs). BAM recently partnered with Marburg-based Latoda for a feasibility study which combines IRT along with artificial intelligence (AI)-based data analysis. On page 7 you can read more about IRT-based scanning of WTBs from the ground.
