Scott Strazik, CEO of GE Vernova, has announced during a call with investors, that the company is working on a 17- to 18MW model of its Haliade X offshore wind turbine.
In December of last year the company received a full-type certificate for operations up to 14.7 MW from DNV for its Haliade-X model. Currently, larger offshore wind turbine models (16 MW or more) are under development by Chinese OEMs.
