Mingyang Smart Energy has received a Statement of Conformity from DNV, confirming that the wind turbine generator system met the technical requirements of grid forming control.

Grid forming control is an emerging control mode that will improve the stability of future power grids dominated by renewable energy generation. The tests were performed in DNV’s Digital Test Lab in Arnhem, the Netherlands, using a controller hardware-in-the-loop (CHiL) co-simulation for various grid and wind conditions. As part of WinGrid’s ESR2 research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020, it allows Mingyang and its partners to continue developing and validating technology that optimises wind power integration.
