Vestas has received a 93 MW order from SR Energy to power the Älgkullen wind project in Sweden. The order includes a total of 15 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines at a hub height of 119m.
 
The order includes supply, installation, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 35-year service agreement. Turbine delivery begins in the second quarter of 2024 with commissioning scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2024. The wind project site is located in Smedjebackens municipality.
 
Vestas also secures an additional order of with Engie to complement a wind project in Brazil. Vestas and Engie Brasil Energia expand their partnership with the 288 MW order of 64 units of V150-4.5 MW wind turbines for the Serra de Assuruá wind farm, located in the municipality of Gentio do Ouro, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. As announced on 30 September of this year, both companies signed an agreement to implement the largest wind project in Latin America that, once fully installed, will have a total nominal capacity of 846 MW. Vestas will also deliver a 25-year service agreement. The delivery and commercial operation of Serra do Assuruá is estimated to start gradually from the second half of 2024.
