Vestas has received an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order for a 74 MW wind project in Lithuania. Aside from manufacturing, delivering, and installing the wind turbines, Vestas will also be the balance-of- plant (BoP) contractor, meaning it will deliver all civil and electrical works.
 
The project consists of 12 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines together with a 35-year full maintenance contract. The delivery and installation of the wind turbines are expected to occur in the second quarter of 2023, and the commissioning to commence in the third quarter of 2023. The customer and project are undisclosed.
 
Vestas has also received a 74 MW order for a wind project Finland. The project includes 12 V162-6.2 MW turbines and a 30-year full maintenance contract. Deliveries and installation of the wind turbines are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2024, while commissioning is planned to end in the fourth quarter of 2024. The customer and project are undisclosed.
 
Further, Vestas has secured a 50 MW order with Toda Corporation for the SGET Iwaizumi Wind Farm in Iwate prefecture, Japan. Owned by SPARX Green Energy & Technology, the wind project will be constructed by Toda Corporation and will feature 12 units of V117-4.2 MW wind turbines. The order includes supply and supervision of installation of turbines of which 9 will be installed on 114-meter towers and the other 3 on 84-meter towers. Vestas will also deliver 20 years of service for the wind farm. Delivery of the turbines will begin in the second quarter of 2024, with commissioning scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
 
Engie Brasil Energia SA, has signed an agreement with Vestas for the Serra de Assuruá wind park in the state of Bahia, in the municipality of Gentio do Ouro, Brazil. The project has a total nameplate capacity of 846 MW once fully installed. The firm order includes the initial supply, installation, operation and maintenance of 120 V150-4.5 MW turbines for the 540 MW first phase of Serra de Assuruá. In addition to phase 1, the contract includes the option for ENGIE to purchase another 68 units by the end of 2022 for phase two of the wind park. Vestas will also deliver a 25-year service agreement. The delivery and commercial operation of Serra do Assuruá is estimated to start gradually from the second half of 2024.
