Shell Energy Operations, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell, has signed an agreement to acquire 49% of Australian wind farm developer, WestWind Energy Development Pty Ltd (WestWind).
WestWind has a 3GW project pipeline across Victoria, New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland. The investment is expected to complete in 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals and Shell has not disclosed financial details of its acquisition of a 49% equity interest in WestWind.
