Metoc plc has appointed Eric Briar as associate director to head up the company's marine planning and operations team, which provides services into the offshore renewable and oil & gas sectors.

He joins Metoc from SeaRoc UK Ltd, where he was head of marine services, responsible for the marine, technical, and HSEQ (Health Safety and Environment Quality) departments. Eric is a Master Mariner with over 27 years' maritime experience, both offshore and onshore, in a variety of master, marine superintendent, and general manager roles.
