Subsea Innovation has completed the design, build, testing & commissioning of two bespoke retrofit Dynamic Bend Stiffener (DBS) subsea installation tools on behalf of offshore installation contractor Leask Marine.The DBS installation tools were designed in-house in accordance with DNV's standard for offshore platform and lifting appliances (DNVGL DNVGL-ST-0378). The installation tools were built and tested by Subsea Innovation’s production team in Darlington, UK, who along with Leask Marine, also commissioned the equipment onsite at the project mobilisation port on the South East coast of England. Both installation tools are now mobilised offshore and supporting O&M activities on an operational wind farm in the UK.
