Irish Mainport Holdings is entering the offshore wind energy business with the purchase of a survey and research vessel.The company acquired the ‘Mainport Geo’ which is a 50 metre DP2 research/survey vessel which will service the offshore wind industry. The company also has taken a minority stake in offshore services player, Alpha Marine.
