Otary is to sell all the electricity produced by the 309MW Rentel offshore wind farm off the Belgian coast to Lampiris, a subsidiary of Total. The 15-year deal will see about 1 terrawatt-hour of electricity a year supplied to Lampiris starting on 1 October.
Rentel has been operational since late 2018 and features 42 Siemens Gamesa 7.35MW turbines with 154-metre rotors. Otary is a consortium consisting of eight Belgian companies including DEME Group, Elicio, Aspiravi, Green Offshore, Power @ Sea, Socofe, SRIW and Z-Kracht.
