Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has received the firm order from Ailes Marine, an affiliate of Iberdrola, for 62 SG 8.0-167 DD offshore wind turbines for 496 MW Bay of Saint Brieuc offshore wind power plant.
This order also includes a 10-year agreement for turbine maintenance services. Nacelles and blades will be manufactured in France at the planned Siemens Gamesa offshore wind turbine factory in Le Havre, France.
