Siemens Gamesa will supply global utility AES with 52 units of the SG 5.8-17 a 312MW wind farm In Brazil. The turbines will operate at up to 6.2 MW.
The company will upgrade its nacelle assembly plant in Camaçari to produce Siemens Gamesa 5.X platform locally. The Tucano wind farm will be located in the state of Bahia and is scheduled for commissioning in 2021.
