Buss wins tender offer for Hornsea Two offshore wind farmBuss Terminal in Eemshaven (The Netherlands) will serve as the base port for the installation of the foundation structures of the Hornsea Two offshore wind farm. As of May, more than half of the heavy cargo terminal’s total space of 250,000 square metres will be occupied by the project. 
 
Buss Terminal Eemshaven, located at the north coast of the Netherlands, won the tender offer issued by DEME Offshore in February and is now responsible for the handling, storage and terminal logistics of the 165 monopiles and transition pieces at its own terminal site.
 
The wind farm, developed by Ørsted, will consist of 165 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines and will have a total capacity of almost 1.4GW. The Hornsea Two offshore wind farm is located in the North Sea approximately 89 km off the Yorkshire Coast and will span an offshore area of 462 km² and will be fully operational in 2022.
