Akrocean has been selected by Meteo-France, acting on behalf of the General Directorate for Energy Climate (DGEC, Ministry of Ecology), to provide wind and ocean data using its Windsea floating LiDAR.
The platforms will be equipped with other atmospheric and oceanic sensors to also cover the needs of the French Navy's Hydrographic and Oceanographic Department (SHOM) and the French Agency for Ecological Transition and Regional Cohesion (CEREMA).The 4-year master service agreement for the supply of wind and metocean data is intended for the derisking of future offshore wind projects in French waters.
