Marine Coordination Services (MCS) will play a part in the commissioning phase of the Merkur Offshore wind farm. Merkur Offshore GmbH entrusts the Dutch company with all operational marine coordination activities in this project phase.

The Merkur Offshore wind farm is entering the vital testing, operational and connecting phase. In mid-September GE Renewable Energy announced that it had completed the installation of 66 Haliade 150-6MW turbines. Together, these account for a capacity of 396MW. The Merkur offshore wind farm is situated at approximately 45 kilometres north of the German East Frisian island of Borkum and has been realised from the Eemshaven (The Netherlands), MCS's home base.
