PJSC RusHydro has signed a memorandum of understanding with New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) from Japan and the government of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic (Russia) to build a 3.9MW wind-diesel complex in Yakutia.

The project will be built in Tiksi village of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. According to the agreement, the Japanese side will supply the main equipment at their own expense and RusHydro will be responsible for construction and installation works. The three wind turbines with a combined capacity of 0.9MW and electric power lines are scheduled for completion by December 2018, and assembly of diesel generators and distribution and storage system – by the end of 2019. RusHydro has already begun the construction of wind turbine foundations in the village of Tiksi. JSC Sakhaenergo, a subsidiary of RusHydro Group will be responsible for the project’s operation.
