ExxonMobil’s wind turbine gear oil, Mobil SHC Gear 320 WT, has been awarded a Conformity Statement by DNV GL. The wind turbine gear oil was developed in collaboration with global OEMs.
Mobil SHC Gear 320 WT features additive technology designed to provide protection against common types of wear, such as scuffing, as well as micropitting fatigue. The lubricant’s synthetic formulation offers extended oil life and drain intervals, compared with mineral-based alternatives. The gear oil is suitable for both on-shore and off-shore wind farms. DNV GL’s conformity statement is confirmation that the lubricant meets international wind turbine performance requirements and customer needs.
