Moventas is in the process of expanding their US Big Spring operations as part of a strategic investment aimed at further strengthening their service offering to the North American market.
The facility in Big Spring, located in Howard County (Texas), will consist of a 7,500 sq ft workshop and a further 35,000 sq ft area combining warehouse space and a test bench installation. The facility will be capable of repairing and load testing main gearboxes up to a size of 3MW. All US workshop repairs are being consolidated to the new facility in Big Spring, with Canadian workshop repairs continuing in the Cambridge, Ontario facility.
