Suzlon Wind Energy Corp has announced the sale of 57 Suzlon S97-2.1MW wind turbines for a wind energy project located in the western USA.
Procurement and manufacturing commenced immediately on contract execution while roadwork and foundation construction will begin in the second quarter of 2012 (Q1 FY13). Delivery of the Suzlon wind turbines is expected to occur in the third quarter with construction of the wind turbines slated for soon after the first turbines arrive on site. Commissioning of the power plant is scheduled for the last quarter of Calendar Year 2012 (Q3 FY13).
