ACSA has received its first order from the Middle East for delivery of an A27-225kW wind turbine to the Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, Palestine. This first unit will be installed in 2012.
The A27-225kW wind turbine series of Aerogeneradores Canarios S.A. (ACSA) is a licensed version of the Vestas V27. The Al-Ahli Hospital Wind Energy Project (AWEP) was launched in 2009 and is the first of its kind in Palestine. The AWEP-project has been funded through the European Union's Environment budget line, and will be constructed and installed by a joint venture of AlSaleh for Building and Constructions and Msader for Energy Systems, in close co-operation with ACSA. The EU contribution to this project is equivalent to 80% of the total project cost.
