Renewable Energy Systems Americas (RES Americas) purchased 26, 2.3MW wind turbine generators from Siemens Power Generation to be installed at RES' Whirlwind Energy Center, to be constructed in 2007 in Floyd County, Texas, USA. The wind turbines will produce 59.8MW, which will be sold to Austin Energy under a recently executed long-term Power Purchase Agreement that will commence upon completion of construction and commissioning.
