Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) announced that its subsidiary DeWind Inc., has completed erection of the 2MW DeWind D8.2 wind turbine at the DEWI-Offshore and Certification Centre GmbH (DEWI-OCC) test site in Cuxhaven, Germany.

DeWind has received the initial approval of the load calculation from DEWI-OCC. The engineering team will now focus on completing the suite of calculations and tests required for full wind turbine certification. The company expects that certification will be achieved in the first quarter of 2007.
