European firm buys Canadian wind energy company AIM PowerGen Print E-mail

Canadian wind farm developer AIM PowerGen Corp. has been sold to London-based Renewable Energy Generation Ltd. for CAN$29.1 million.

Toronto-based AIM is a private wind farm developer with more than 2,600MW of wind projects in various stages of development in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island. Renewable Energy has wind-power projects operating in Britain and Poland. The transaction is expected to close 3 August.
