The project – named Minervino – in the southern Italian region of Apulia is a part of the framework agreement concluded with the French EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN). It involves the delivery of up to 140 wind energy turbines of the 2-megawatt class in European key markets until the end of 2008. Based on this, both companies will mutually expand their partnership in the years ahead. the Minervino project has an overall output of 40 MW. Erection should begin from July 2007 and be completed by the end of next year. REpower Systems AG will carry out the project together with its wholly-owned subsidiary Italia S.l.r.
