Mr Ulacia, joined Gamesa as Chief Executive Officer in December 2005, contributing to the executive management of the company during this period of time, and consolidating the new developing strategy. Guillermo Ulacia Arnazi, from Barakaldo (Bizkaia), previous to his role in Gamesa, developed his professional career in the iron and steel industry where, until December 2005, he was the Vicepresident Executive of the Plans and Drafts Department of the Arcelor steel group, and also Vicepresident for Aceralia. He started is professional career in the steel sector in 1995, after a very successful career in General Motors Spain, S.A. where he filled different responsibility positions, including a membership in the Administration Board, joining at the same time the CSI (Corporación Siderurgica Integral) in its business area of plain products as General Director of Operations jointly with a membership of the Directors Committee at CSI.
