The Front CoverThe hub height of the turbines is a significant factor in terms of power production. With turbines averaging 2 to 3.5MW and rotor diameters close to and above 100 metres, turbines will continue to increase in height. With all of this growth in size, height and weight, one of the major challenges facing the end user today is transportation and installation. Valmont has created products that will solve some of the major challenges currently presented by towers. On page 37 the company describes their modular design towers and other services for the industry.
