Gamesa expands its industrial capacity in the USA Print E-mail
Wednesday, 08 March 2006
Gamesa Eólica has increased its presence in the USA with an industrial plan that includes the setting up of three manufacturing centres in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, for the production of blades and towers and the assembly of wind turbine nacelles.

These production centres will permit the manufacture of G8X-2.0MW wind turbines. This industrial project, which will involve an investment of US$ 34 million (€ 28.5 million), will consolidate the presence of Gamesa Eólica in the USA. The Spanish company has also recently started up a plant for the production of wind turbine blades in the town of Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. The start of these four centres in the USA, and their gradual progress to full production, will mean the creation of 530 jobs. Production in these new facilities will begin during 2006.
