The Dutch energy company Nuon has completed the sale of Nuon International China B.V. to China Resources Power Holdings Company Ltd.

This divestment means that Nuon is completely withdrawing from wind energy production in Asia. Last year Nuon already completed the sale of its 74% stake in Karma Energy Ltd., a company active in wind energy in India. The divestment of its Chinese and Indian participations is in line with Nuon’s strategy of focusing on growth in the energy markets of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In these core countries Nuon will continue its policy of investing in new profitable renewable energy production.
