Vermont artist celebrates wind power with latest print Print E-mail
Friday, 21 October 2005
ImageVermont printmaker Sabra Field revealed her latest, and last, commissioned artwork, Windfarm, Vermont, at the Blue Heron Gallery in South Burlington, Vermont, on 19 October. The 19 by 13 inch (48 x 33cm) IRIS print depicts six graceful wind turbines atop a Vermont mountain ridge, ablaze with autumn colour and was commissioned by NRG Systems of Hinesburg, Vermont. Only 200 of the limited edition signed prints will be sold. They will be available for sale on the NRG Systems’ website and at the South Burlington gallery. ‘Wind turbines are a beautiful part of our cultural landscape,’ says Field. ‘They are beautiful in themselves – kinetic sculptures on the skyline.’ NRG Systems’ CEO Jan Blittersdorf added, ‘We are thrilled and honoured to have played a role in the creation of this beautiful piece of art’
