Over the last four years we have published several articles about lidar and sodar for wind measurements. So far the ZephIR, developed by Qinetiq and now commercialised by Natural Power, has mostly been used onshore. In 2006 NaiKun began working with Natural Power on an approach to gathering wind data offshore for the Hecate Strait wind farm project off the coast of northwest British Columbia.
