Second Wind sodar offered by DNV Global Energy Concepts Print E-mail
Tuesday, 03 June 2008
DNV Global Energy Concepts (DNV-GEC) will add Second Wind Triton Sonic Wind Profiler units to its suite of tools available to clients.

The units will be used in wind resource monitoring, micrositing, energy projections and other predevelopment activities. DNV Global Energy Concepts and Second Wind have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on improving and expanding the use of Triton technology.

  • DNV-GEC will offer Triton sodar technology for sale to its customers, along with meteorological towers and other data collection systems, to perform turnkey wind assessment and site selection services.
  • For wind prospectors or developers who already own a Triton profiler, DNV-GEC will analyze the data and incorporate it into its reports and consulting recommendations.
  • Both companies will collaborate to develop data validation tools for Triton data, and to continue to improve the quality of Triton measurements.
